Finally... A post!

Well, I don't have much to say but everything up here is good! Thanksgiving is going to be so awesome! Every year we go to my grandparents on thursday and eat, talk, shoot guns, ride motorcycles, play board games etc. and then we usually have a program of some sort and for this year's one I am writing an essay to present. I will (hopefully) post it on here after that. Anyway, then on Friday we usually invite someone over and do it all over again ( minus the program), and on Saturday we have our own celebration and then on Sunday we have all the leftovers for pot luck (bless...whatever). It is definetly my favorite week of the year! But, even though I love all the good food, we still have to stay focused on the true meaning of Thanksgiving ( I'll get more into that in my essay). Also, a side point having to do with essay, I wrote a different essay for the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) and even though I don't agree with a lot (probably all) of the foreign wars, the topics are usually very good (and you can win money and go to Washington D.C. if you win the state level). the topic this year is "Service and sacrifice by America's Veterans benefits todays youth by...", really awkward and hard to deal with if you ask me, I liked last years "Freedom's Challenge" a lot better. Anyway, I won local competition and their judging it at district as I speak so... pray for that! If I win at district then I get judged for state and if I win that then I go to D.C. Iv'e got second in state 3 years in a row (one place higher and there I go!). So, I'm sorry I haven't posted in a month, our internet has been down. Now I'm trying to cram it all in here so... Happy Thanksgiving!!!

I can't wait to hear your essay and maybe it will be first this year. We, too, are looking forward to Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for. I posted on your last one today also as I hadn't read it. Thank you for honoring Dave and Sue. It sure would be good to see you and your family again. Have a Blessed Thanksgiving Day. Grandma Dottie
